The average person gives up on their new years resolutions in less than a month, then we wait a whole another year to try again. Even if we were to go through with all of them, at the end fo the game of life, it all goes back in the box. Everything we worked for gets put away.
There is one thing that doesn’t get put away, and that is Christ. The more we work on our relationship with Christ, the more everything else aligns into place. When we gain by seeking out Christ, it is not just us that gain, but all those around us who benefit from our relationship with Christ. All it takes is a little bit.
He also asked, “What else is the Kingdom of God like? It is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.”
Let your new years resolution not just be a new years resolution, but rather a daily resolution. Seek out the Lord in everything you do, look to Him, put Him first, and make your actions pleasing to Him. When we seek to make our relationship with Christ greater it ripple effects into all parts of our life.
Make your resolution count this year. How do your resolutions reflect your heart?
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
God Bless you all on your New Year!
